My sister Lily took me to The Living Desert museum in Palm Desert, CA. She told me there was a neat hiking trail there, but I was skeptical, as how "neat" can a hiking trail be at a museum? But the hiking trail to the side of Eisenhower mountain was roughly 4 miles round trip and well worth the walk. But don't go there in the summer! Signs indicate that temperatures reach 120 degrees!
There is so much to see at the museum, but I was most interested in seeing the desert scenery. The colored rocks provided a beautiful contrast to the bright blue sky.
This was the longest hike my nephews Danny (8) and Alex (12) have ever taken. Danny insisted I call this Daniel and Alex and Uncle Bill's Great Adventure.
I hope you enjoy this virtual tour.
