| This particular survival kit fits in a small Otter Box. I'll talk more about it later. But for now, note the small spool of leader line (top right.) I replaced the original monofilament line with SpiderWire. I have some hooks in the small clear plastic tube (top left.) |

| I spent some time in the mountains while vacationing in southern California in January of 2006. I then spent a few nights at my sister's apartment in Newport Beach. One night I decided to go fishing. "With what?" she asked. With my survival kit, of course! This is me fishing off the public dock on 15th street. |

| I used bread for bait and in short order caught five fish (jack smelts) each about this size. What a blast! |
